Power BI Developer Data Analyst, Database, SQL

Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop Power BI Reports and Dashboards: Create interactive and visually compelling reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Data Consolidation: Set up reporting environments by consolidating data from various sources into centralized data lakes, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
• Data Modeling: Develop and optimize data models within Power BI to support efficient querying and data retrieval.
• Integration with Data Warehouses: Work with cloud-based data warehousing solutions like Snowflake to integrate, retrieve, and manage data effectively.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, including improving load times and reducing resource consumption.
• Maintain and Troubleshoot Reports: Monitor and maintain existing reports, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements as needed.
• Documentation: Document processes, models, and dashboards to ensure transparency and facilitate knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.
• Proficient in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Experience in setting up and managing data lakes and consolidating data from multiple sources.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions like Snowflake is a plus.
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with data integration tools and ETL processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent English language skills (written and verbal communication)

Additional attribute (Preferred not required):

• Working experience in ERP type systems, Accounting or Retail POS systems etc.
• Experience with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.)

1 WORKING HOURS

• Working hours is flexible and the standard guideline is between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 1 hour break for lunch.
• Staff can start early and finish early to keep in sync with Australia working hours
