As a PR Supervisor, you can take on a leadership role, overseeing PR campaigns, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
1. Strategic PR Communications
Develop and execute a results-driven, multi-platform communications strategy and plan for a diversified portfolio of clients.
Provide strategic communications to drive all proposed initiatives, ensuring alignment with client expectations and industry trends.
2. Content Development and Stakeholders Management
Create and oversee the management of all materials and collateral per brand guidelines and management guidelines.
Create and manage the development and delivery of media outreach, press conferences, media gathering, press releases, articles, and TV features, as well as other PR mediums such as messaging tracks, Q&As, spokesperson briefings, reactive and holding statements, media responses, and manage pitching of stories to journalists, and handling media inquiries on a daily basis.
Leverage an extensive network of media contacts to enhance media coverage and secure strategic opportunities for clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, government partners, and media outlets to facilitate positive PR outcomes.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
3. Team Supervision and Leadership Enhancing
Lead, supervise, and mentor junior team members, providing guidance, direction, and support in executing PR campaigns.
Foster a collaborative internally and externally and growth-oriented team environment to drive team success.
4. Market Understanding and Reporting Skills
Monitor media coverage and conduct in-depth data analysis to compile comprehensive reports, assessing campaign effectiveness.
Utilize data-driven insights to make informed recommendations and adjustments to PR strategies.
Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
Use research findings to develop innovative campaign strategies that deliver results.
Job Requirements
Knowledge & experiences:
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a PR or communications agency/client, with a proven track record of successful campaigns and strong media relationships.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, but not limited to the list. ​
Skills/Abilities:
Exceptional Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create persuasive content and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Extensive Media Network: A wide-reaching network of media contacts, an in-depth understanding of journalist needs, and a keen awareness of emerging media trends.
Leadership and Mentorship: Strong leadership skills, including effectively mentoring and guiding junior team members.
Collaborative Approach: A team player with a can-do attitude who is willing to learn from others and excel in a collaborative environment.
