The Precision Machining Department (PMD) Process Engineer is responsible for
• Managing the manufacturing process, including introducing processes, modifying processes, issuing processes, and optimizing processes.
• Ability to CNC programming and CNC turning for machining systems
• Conducts root cause analyses of (complex) machining issues in production.
• Machining parameter optimization for best machine performance and minimum production cost - Continuous Improvement.
• Create and maintain process documents ( E.g. FMEA, Control Plan, Flow Charts, Standard work instructions, visual aids).
• Identify, evaluate, recommend and implement capital equipment, tooling, and fixtures required for new and existing products and processes.
• Report and present findings and recommendations to peers and leadership.
• Deliver direct PMD floor support in the form of work direction and training.
• Other duties as assigned.
Yêu cầu
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or operations related technical degree (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology).
• Must have a focus on Machining Technology.
• Experience with low volume / high mixed machine and 5-axis machining technology.
• Experience with machining (cast) iron and (cast) aluminum with precision tolerances.
• Experience in fixture and tool design.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software (preference for NX). Able to understand and modify/improve existing programming (not required to independently program new parts). Experience with CNC Machine Simulation, Verification and Optimization Software (preference for Vericut).
• Prefer: Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program.
• Preference for experience with Siemens control system
• Experience with Cutting tool condition and wear mechanism / optimizing tool life.
• Fluent English both in oral and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiar with ERP/MRP Software system (E.g. BaaN, SAP).
