Product Engineer

Reports To: The Manufacturing and Design Engineer will report directly to the Director of Operations.
Job Overview
We are in need of an engineer that is comfortable working across many different disciplines including Quality, Industrial, Product Engineer. The Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of activities including setting up the machines and processes associated with a new manufacturing facility in Vietnam. They will be heavily involved in working with customer drawings and the design of new products. They will also establish manufacturing related quality processes and share total 2D and 3D drawing requirements with an Engineer in the United States. Finally, they will assist in quality controls and the quality manual along with the supplier management program.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Provide direct engineering support for Asia production.
• Develop quality processes during scale up of Vietnam manufacturing facility.
• Work on new product design and manufacturability by partnering with the customer, manufacturing and sales to launch and scale world class products.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration and spare parts to minimize possible down-time.
• Take on roughly 50% of the mechanical drawing requirements of 2D and 3D formats utilizing Alibre software.
• Assisting in sourcing critical suppliers for development opportunities and existing business.
• Establish, track and action technical metrics from Asia including yields, efficiencies, etc.
• Develop manufacturing processes and PM program.
• Stay in tune to and communicate new technologies in Asia.
• Work with Asian suppliers on supplier performance improvements
• Assist in getting ISO certification in Vietnam Rival manufacturing
• International travel will be required
