Production Material Control Staff

Job Purpose:
The PMC Staff ensures the efficient flow of materials and production schedules to meet manufacturing targets, maximize machine utilization, minimize downtime, and optimize inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Material Planning and Management:
• Develop and maintain accurate material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules.
• Monitor material usage, inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials and avoid
stockouts or overstocking.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to place purchase orders for raw materials.
• Conduct periodic audits of inventory and report discrepancies.
2. Production Scheduling
• Prepare and adjust production schedules to meet delivery timelines and customer
requirements.
• Monitor production progress and address any deviations from the plan.
• Communicate schedules to relevant teams and ensure adherence.
3. Coordination and Communication
• Liaise with sales, warehouse teams, and production staff to ensure seamless material flow.
• Coordinate with quality assurance teams to handle rejected materials and ensure
replacements.
• Provide regular updates to management on production and material status.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting
• Analyze production and inventory data to identify inefficiencies and recommend
improvements.
• Generate and maintain reports on material usage, production output, and inventory
performance.
5. Compliance and Safety
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote safe material handling practices among staff.
