About this role:
This role is responsible for assisting Production Manager in developing a consolidated forecast, production plans, managing seasonal & monthly production schedules to optimize production efficiency, meet customer demands & the Roastery requirements.
1. Key Accountabilities:
Production Planning and Scheduling
Develops and monitors production plans and schedules to deliver against manufacturing budgets, including inventory accuracy, cost of goods sold (COGS), labor, and other productivity targets.
Analyze sales forecasts, production capacity, market trends, and customer demands to accurately anticipate production requirements.
Build and maintain reports related to forecast, demand plan, and production data.
Resource Allocation
Allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet production targets.
Ensure that production lines are staffed adequately and that equipment is utilized properly.
Inventory Management
Monitor and report on deviations in actual versus planned inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and obsolescence.
Build and maintain reports related to forecast, demand plan, and production data.
Coordinate with Procurement team to order materials as needed.
Continuous Improvement
Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, such as reducing production costs, enhancing productivity, and optimizing production flow.
Verify historical data accuracy, define root cause impacting forecast accuracy, and propose initiatives for improvement.
Implement improvement initiatives in production planning processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness to changing business needs.
