Mô tả công việc

- Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of the welding team, including welders and support staff.
- Ensure that all welding operations are completed according to production schedules, quality standards, and customer specifications.
- Assign tasks to welders based on their skill levels, workload, and project requirements.
- Inspect welds and welded components for quality assurance, ensuring adherence to specifications and industry standards.
- Train and mentor welders on proper welding techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, arc welders, and plasma cutters.
- Troubleshoot welding issues and work with the team to resolve defects, rework, or material discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including production reports, material usage, and quality inspections.
- Collaborate with other departments such as production planning, quality control, and maintenance to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
- Enforce safety regulations and protocols, ensuring all team members are properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following workplace safety guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for welding supplies, materials, and spare parts.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve welding techniques.
- Can work shift and overtime.
- Other task assigned by Line Manager.

Yêu cầu

- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or certification in Welding Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- Welding certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Inspector, Certified Welder) are an advantage.
- English or Chinese communication is an advantage
- Comprehensive knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) and various materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Familiarity with welding codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., AWS, ASME).
- Understanding of blueprint reading, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations in a welding environment.
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques is beneficial.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in welding, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Experience in managing a welding team and meeting production deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of maintaining quality standards and resolving welding defects.
- Experience in industries such as lighting, automotive, furniture, or metal fabrication is advantageous.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of welders.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for welding-related issues.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for coordinating with different departments and reporting to management.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring high-quality welds.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a busy production environment.
- Proficiency with welding tools and equipment, as well as basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
