The PM will be responsible for driving the project in pre-construction phase that start from reviewing the Offtaker's documents, organizing EPC bidding to the meeting to kick off the construction stage of ROOFTOP SOLAR projects.
Responsibilities:
The PM will:
• Prepare the bidding documents and organize the EPC bidding
• Be the main contact point to arrange and join the site survey to ensure that the Company collects enough information to review the EPCs proposal and assess the risks of the project. Offtaker is the client that enter the Power Purchase Agreement with the Company.
• Make sure that the site survey as well as all of the activities on site comply with the Offtaker's regulations and requirements.
• Take lead to evaluate the EPCs' proposals to decide the winner. The winner is the selected EPC that will enter the Agreement with the Company to build the project.
• Review EPC quotation and negotiate to get the reasonable offer for the Company.
• Coordinate with the selected EPC, internal teams, external advisors if any, and the Offtaker to finalize the selected EPC's design, quotation and other relevant documents to ensure that all required documents are ready to sign off the EPC Agreement.
• Coordinate with the external
Developer to review the draft of EPC Agreement and supporting documents
• Ensure that the Offtaker aware of the solar system design, inverter location, structure reinforcement, COD condition precedents if any; address the Offtaker's concerns if any; and obtain the Offtake's allowance/consent before approving the EPC Agreement and releasing the first payment to the EPC.
• Review and first-line approve the EPC's first payment request
• Prepare and organize the internal kick-off meeting to hand over the project to the Construction Manager.
• Build and manage the project risk register in pre-construction stage and handover to the Construction Manager during the internal kick-off meeting before starting the construction phase
• Proactively develop form, template, procedure if required to manage the procedure and conduct the improvement where necessary.
• Support the
Business Development team in working the Offtaker.
• Be the main contact point and manage the client's relationship with the Offtaker and other Stakeholders during the preconstruction phase.
• Support the Construction Manager during the construction phase if required.
• Any other tasks that would be required to fulfill the position
• Good background of project management is a must.
• A minimum of at least 2 years' experience with PM position for C&I rooftop solar project portfolio.
• Well understanding of the solar project lifecycle, project schedule and crucial stakeholders in the solar industry.
• Familiar with the solar design and relevant standard, regulation.
• Good knowledge of the permits and licenses required in the solar industry.
• Have experience in building the bill of quantity (BOQ) template, reviewing BOQ, negotiating the EPC quotation.
• Have a mindset of risk management.
• Sound understanding of standard commercial arrangements, especially the EPC framework contract used in rooftop solar.
• Good communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels of an organization and project site.
• Good in English, with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Enjoy and be effective at developing and nurturing client relationships at the appropriate level.
• Be a team player; willingness to travel.
• Ability to design the solar system and review the solar design is a plus.
• Graduated from electrical-related major is an advantage.
