About the job

We are currently looking for a Purchaser to join our Polarium Procurement team. The position plays an important role in securing supply of direct material to our production sites. Together with your team and colleagues in Planning, Logistics, Warehouse and Finance you will plan, organize, direct, and manage materials to meet the demands of our customers.

The main objective of the position material availability assessment, supplier forecasting, order placement, delivery monitoring, KPI's, handling documents as well as communication with internal and external stake holders. The position Is based in Kista, Sweden.

Responsibilities:

Plan for and create purchase orders for purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery target
Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may cause a risk or impact on the business operations
Issue pre-alerts on incoming goods and follow-up on goods receipts
In cooperation with planning, purchasing monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
Search for and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible (ex. purchasing multiples, consolidation of shipments, modes of transports etc.)
Prepare, assess, and evaluate suppliers and participate performance reviews to ensure contract compliance
Communicate with suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues

Qualifications, skills, and experience:

Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred
Minimum of 2+ years of working experience within purchasing
Experience in working with global suppliers
Working experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
A team player, able to influence and convince team members and other stakeholders
Advanced MS Office skills
Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
Project management skills preferred
Fluency in English, both written and verbal
