JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Analyze and determine the company's merchandise needs based on data from multiple retail stores.
- Develop and execute procurement plans to ensure timely and accurate purchasing of products.
- Evaluate suppliers' capabilities in terms of product supplies and timely delivery.
- Generate purchase orders, verifying product details, quantities, pricing, and other relevant terms with suppliers.
- Monitor and track the progress of purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with quality standards.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers regarding orders, invoices, or product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, supplier information, and pricing data.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to optimize purchasing strategies, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Accounting, Operations to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Assist in inventory management by coordinating with suppliers and stores to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages and excesses.
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, performance metrics, and cost savings.
