Mô tả công việc
The Primary Years Program Coordinator (PYPC) is a Leadership Position with programme-wide responsibility within the PYP and a responsibility to support relevant colleagues in collaborative vertical planning across the scope of the three programmes (PYP-MYP-DP). Specifically, the PYPC will be responsible for supporting, mentoring, coaching, facilitating, advising and, as appropriate, appraising staff and middle leaders within the PYP with the aim of improved student learning and staff professional development in the context of a PYP school, and in service of the school mission.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Direction and Development of Teaching and Learning
Support and secure the commitment of others to the vision, ethos, polices and mission of the school, as delivered through the PYP, and so promote success in achieving the mission for all students.
Maintain responsibility for the strategic implementation of the PYP programme, in accordance with the strategic direction set by the Head of School and Principal, to ensure for an ever deepening and sustainable implementation of the PYP.
Supporting Teaching & Learning
Work collaboratively with PYP staff to promote and maintain a high quality written curriculum, as defined by the IB standards and practices.
Work collaboratively with PYP staff to promote and maintain high quality implementation of the written curriculum, as defined by the IB standards and practices and as further articulated through the appraisal process
Work collaboratively with PYP staff to evaluate the 'learned curriculum', as evidenced through appropriately triangulated data, in order to continually improve the learning experience and opportunities for success of all students
Work collaboratively with PYP staff, the Principal and other appropriate staff to ensure for the appropriate resourcing of the curriculum to include; teaching resources, the physical classroom/campus space and how this is utilised and the resource of time (both for teachers and students.
Communicating the PYP
In order to promote and maintain the best interests of student learning and welfare within the PYP, ensure for effective collaboration and communication across all appropriate staff, to include teachers and other instructional staff, administrators and other middle/senior leaders and support staff
Provide a strong voice to promote and maintain the interests of the PYP in cross programme discussions (PYP/MYP) and in the context of horizontal discussions where other models are being used to support the PYP
Be the prime person responsible for communication with the IB, and within the regional network, in support of continual improvement in student learning and welfare
Be a visible voice, teacher and advocate for the PYP, in support of the school mission, in promoting understanding of the PYP within the parent and wider community.
Staff professional development:
Ensures that staff members are made aware of professional development (online or face-to face) opportunities.
Lead the internal training on mapping and delivering the IB PYP curriculum efficiently.
Resource management:
Makes recommendations for the purchase of suitable resources to support the implementation of the programme.
Establishes an inventory of resources to facilitate efficient management.
Qualifications
Job requirement
- Bachelor's degree, Master's degree desirable.
- Proven experience within a bilingual or international education setting with emphasis working with students to achieve academic success and providing student services
- Proven management experience.
Skills and personal attributes
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
Strong attention to details.
Student-oriented attitude.
Integrity and strong work ethic.
Collaborative and possessing strong organizational skills.
Ability to work at a fast pace with minimal supervision.
