QA/QC Officer

* General coordination:

• Takes part in internal work meetings,

• Takes part in explanation of Project Quality Management System to the various players involved,

• Attends informative meetings especially for newly hired staff if requested,

• Supports Quality Manager to ensures that the Project Management promotes awareness among Project supervisory staff of the Quality approach and the Customer's requirements, (Corrective actions, preventive actions, improvement actions, etc.)



* Resources:

• Defines his equipment needs,

• Supports newly recruited QC staff in project integration including training, coaching.



* Purchasing:

• Takes part in meetings with the Subcontractors and Suppliers when requested,

• Carries out surveys, assessment visits and Quality audits of Subcontractors and Suppliers when requested,

• Contributes his opinion concerning applications for derogations made by Subcontractors and Suppliers,

• Takes part in description of Quality Management obligations to the Subcontractors and Suppliers,

• Supports Quality manager to check, by random survey, the effectiveness of the Quality Management System established by them,

• Reviews the Quality documents of the Subcontractors before Quality Manager's validation and forwarding them to the Customer for observations,



* Customer:

• Takes part in meetings with the Customer if requested,



* Site:

• Takes part in internal work/ material inspection,

• Reviews of Requests for Inspections prepared by sub-contractors before sending to EMPR,

• Attends work/ material inspection with EPMR,

• Monitors to ensure compliance to project technical specification,

• Issues NCRs for conformities found, monitoring actions for closure,

• When requested, stationed at sand mines for inspection & test before departure of sand barges.

• When requested, stationed at factories for off-site for inspection and test during and after production.

• Checks by random survey, before execution, that execution is carried out with documents to their latest revision No. and checks that out-of-date documents are destroyed or visibly cancelled,

• Takes part in analyzing non-conformities and proposing corrections, determining the causes of non-conformities, and corrective and preventive actions,

• Must inform Quality Manager to consider suspension work execution immediately whenever he is informed of an event that could potentially jeopardize the final quality of the Project,

• Checks, by random survey, that calibration has been performed and that surveillance and measuring equipment has been verified,



* Laboratory:

• Attends sampling of materials with EPMR for testing,

• Preserves the samples taken,

• Coordinates with EPMR to arrange their witness of tests which are Hold Points to them,

• Witness the field tests and laboratory tests which are Hold Points to the Contractor,

• Ensures laboratory compliance to approved test procedures,

• Keeps an up-to-date report on checks, inspection and testing of laboratory equipment,

• Ensures proper calibration of laboratory testing devices/ equipment,

• Monitors laboratory's submission of test reports,

• Reviews the test reports before sending to Quality Manager,

• Coordinates with Quality assistant in control of the laboratory documents (recording, circulation, filing, archiving, etc.)

• Provides project Quantity Surveyors with quality records for payment/ contract purposes.



* Document Control (Differs from Documents Control of Technical / Contract Department):

• Coordinates with Quality Assistant in her control of technical documents and control documents established by ourselves or others issued and received (recording, printing, circulation, filing, archiving, etc.),

• Uses the document management software defined by the Company,
