The R&D Manager will lead the commercial strategy, product lifecycle management, and B2B/B2C/OEM/ODM
business development for our Household Plastic Products project. This role is responsible for driving annual revenue growth, managing key accounts, optimizing product profitability (P&L), and bridging the gap between market intelligence and R&D/Production.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
Formulate, develop, and execute the Annual Business Plan for the household plastic product segment to achieve corporate growth targets.
Establish detailed and measurable KPIs, including revenue milestones, gross profit margins, and market share targets for each specific product line.
Conduct accurate market demand forecasting and collaborate closely with the Production and Supply Chain departments to ensure seamless inventory flow and timely product delivery.
Product Management & Market Intelligence
Perform deep-dive Market Intelligence analysis, closely monitoring price fluctuations of raw plastic resins (PP, PE, PET, TRITAN, etc.), packaging design trends, and competitors' strategic movements.
Define strategic product positioning; develop competitive pricing frameworks, discount structures, and flexible
trade marketing/sales support programs to maximize market competitiveness.
Partner with the R&D department to continuously upgrade existing products and develop innovative new products driven by market feedback and consumer insights.
Business Development & Partner Management (B2B/B2C/OEM and ODM)
Directly identify, prospect, and manage a portfolio of Key Accounts on major retail chains, and OEM/ODM partners.
Lead negotiations for complex commercial contracts, covering pricing mechanisms, payment terms, technical quality specifications and delivery Service Level Agreements.
Establish and maintain a structured weekly and monthly reporting system to track overall sales performance, financial metrics, and brand health indicators.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Product Marketing roles.
Prior hands-on experience in Household Plastics, Plastic Packaging, or related supporting manufacturing industries is strongly preferred.
Professional Competencies:
Advanced commercial negotiation skills and expert-level Key Account Management capabilities.
Strong data-driven analytical mindset with sharp financial acumen, specifically managing product P&L, margins, and pricing strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
Experience working with international suppliers and OEM/ODM partners.
Experience with modern trade, retail channels, and e-commerce platforms.
Ability to work closely with Sales, R&D, Procurement, and Production teams. Strong understanding of market research, consumer insights, and product lifecycle management.
Build and manage the R&D team and innovation pipeline.
Language Skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to negotiate directly with foreign partners and interpret technical documentation. Proficiency in additional foreign languages is an advantage.
