Summary
Position title: Regional Finance Intern
Department: Group Finance and Actuarial
Reports to position: Regional Finance Analyst
Coordinate with Pacific Cross Group & Country Executives.
Qualifications & skills
Must be legal to work in the reporting country.
Must be a student at any universities or colleges. Reputable educational institution with programs in English is an advantage.
Must be physically available in cities where Pacific Cross member company is operating during working hours, but not neccessarily near the office. On-site office support availability is an advantage.
Good business intelligence, especially with accounting.
Good communication skills.
Proficient in English - reading, writing, and communicating.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, Power Query M and VBA) and Microsoft Power BI. Proficient in any additional data analysis tool is an additional advantage.
Knowledge in accounting solution architecture is an advantage.
Knowledge in IFRS 17 is an advantage.
Familiarity with cultural practices in Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
Duration and working hours.
Six (6) months
Minimum of six (6) working hours per day, which will be within follow with the reporting country's office hours.
Compensation
Maximum compensation of 200 USD per month.
Discretionary incentive of up to 500 USD, based on performance results. The bonus salary is paid after the contract.
Scope of responsibilities
Assist in the Regional Finance work and projects, including but not limited to assistance in the group reporting activities, which will cover the work responsibilities below:
Provide research support using publicly and readily available internal and external data sources.
Monitor and track developments of group reporting activities.
Ad-hoc administrative support including transcribing meeting minutes and interviews.
Work collaboratively with Pacific Cross employees to collect, validate and analyze data submitted.
Report, coordinate and investigate (as necessary) any detected discrepancies or misconducts during group reporting activities.
Take actions to enhance quality and efficiency of group reporting process.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all communications and documents for Pacific Cross Group and Pacific Cross' engaged parties.
