Responsibilities

• Acquire, collect datasets that align with business needs.
• Develop algorithms to transform data into useful, actionable information.
• Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures.
• Create new data validation methods and data analysis tools.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
• Collaborate with management to understand company objectives.

Requirements

Required

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the one of following subjects: Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Economic.
• Coding: 3+ years of experience hands on coding server side. Familiar with common programming languages include SQL, NoSQL, Python, Java, or equivalent.
• Database: 3+ years of experience working with relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or equivalent. Comfort in working with complex data structure and sources.
• Automation and scripting: You should be able to write scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
• Data storage: Understand how data is stored, the trade-of between performance, consistency and durability.

Optional

• Experience in Common ETL tools includes Xplenty, Stitch, Alooma, or Talend is a plus.
• Previous experience related to SaaS, e-commerce or digital marketing is a plus.
• Machine learning: It is helpful to have a grasp of the basic concepts to better understand the needs of data scientists on your team.
• Data security: Understand securely managing and storing data to protect it from loss or theft.
