Position Title: Research Assistant

Campus Location: Based at the Saigon South campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of RMIT Vietnam

Research Grant: An Investigation to Adopt new Technology in the Agricultural Supply Chain in Vietnam

Position Summary
The Research Assistant will provide research support to specific projects attached to one of six research clusters. Working under the general direction of the Cluster Leads, the Research Assistant will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day research support activities of the projects, acting as first point of contract for all enquiries related to the projects, and provide support when needed.
Specific responsibilities will depend on the topic, nature and duration of the projects, as provided by the research cluster leader.
As a Level 3 Research Assistant, you will be expected to contribute specialist support, with technical or specialist expertise paramount.
Reporting Line
Primary Investigator: Chief Investigator
Reports to: Chief Investigator and Co-Investigators
Key Accountabilities
Specific responsibilities will depend on the topic, nature and duration of the project, provided by the Project Leader. Duties may include:
• Academic literature reviews and database searches
• Conducting, recording, and transcribing interviews in English or Vietnamese, with translation if required
• Assist with external and internal grant applications
• Analyse qualitative and quantitative data
• Prepare presentations, reports and publications
• Develop internal and external contacts to further knowledge and form collaborative networks
• Assist the Project Leader and researches with data collection and the collation of results
• Plan day-to-day research activity and/or coordinate activities with Project Leader and researchers
• Draft reports related to research activity outcomes
• Coordinate project team activities, including secretariat support for project meetings
