Position Overview The Operations Control Specialist independently verifies actual market execution, identifies fraud, operational gaps and non-compliance with company policies, processes and standards. Based on audit findings, the position analyses root causes, recommends corrective actions and follows up on implementation to improve operational effectiveness and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Field and Retail Audits
· Conduct regular and ad hoc audits at distributors, dealers, stores and other points of sale.
· Verify field-force routes, outlet visits, sales activities and compliance with assigned plans.
· Audit product availability, inventory, pricing, promotions, displays, POSM and brand standards.
· Evaluate sales processes, staff performance, service quality and customer experience.
2. Compliance and Investigation
· Assess compliance with company policies, SOPs, commercial programs and operational standards.
· Identify fraud, violations, inaccurate reporting, misuse of company support and other operational risks.
· Conduct investigations, collect supporting evidence and prepare violation records when required.
· Ensure audit results are accurate, transparent, objective and properly documented.
3. Reporting and Recommendations
· Prepare periodic and ad hoc audit reports, including findings, root causes, risks and recommended actions.
· Analyse recurring issues and operational trends to support management decision-making.
· Recommend improvements to processes, policies, control mechanisms and working standards.
· Present significant findings to management and relevant stakeholders.
4. Corrective Action Follow-up
· Coordinate with Sales, Retail Operations,
Trade Marketing, Finance and other teams to agree on corrective actions.
· Track corrective-action plans and conduct follow-up audits to verify their effectiveness.
· Maintain complete audit records, working papers and supporting evidence.
· Perform other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher; no restriction on field of study.
At least 1 year of experience in Retail Sales and Multiple Store Management.
Experience in route audits, outlet audits, store inspections or field compliance reviews is preferred.
Experience in Consumer Electronics, Home Appliances, FMCG, Retail or consumer goods manufacturing is an advantage.
Knowledge of internal control, risk management, sales operations and retail execution.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
Working English communication and report-writing skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning and communication skills.
High integrity, objectivity, attention to detail and willingness to challenge non-compliant practices.
Willing and able to travel frequently and for extended periods to overseas markets.
