Position Purpose
The Sales &
Brand Manager - Vietnam will be the company's key commercial representative in Vietnam, responsible for establishing and growing its presence in the market. The company is in the wine production, sales and distribution industry.
As the company is at an early stage of market development in Vietnam, the primary focus of the role is sales and market creation - building trade relationships, opening new customer accounts, developing a strong sales pipeline and driving revenue growth across on-premise, off-premise and e-commerce channels.
The role will also support brand development, customer engagement and market planning activities that directly contribute to sales growth.
As a guide, approximately 70% of the role will focus on sales and market development, with the remaining time supporting account and brand development, market insights and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Market Development - Primary Focus
Identify, approach and open new customer accounts across restaurants, hotels, bars, wine retailers, supermarkets and e-commerce channels.
Build and maintain a strong network of buyers, sommeliers, F&B managers, distributors and industry contacts.
Develop and manage a structured sales pipeline and convert prospects into recurring customers.
Achieve agreed sales, revenue, distribution and account acquisition targets.
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within agreed guidelines.
Initially focus on developing the Ho Chi Minh City market, with progressive expansion into Hanoi, Da Nang and other key cities.
Work closely with the company's appointed local importer and distribution partners to identify and develop complementary sales opportunities.
2. Account & Brand Development
Build strong relationships with new and existing customers and identify opportunities to increase listings, range and sales volumes.
Conduct regular account visits and support customer engagement activities.
Act as the primary brand ambassador for the company's wine portfolio in Vietnam.
Present the company's brands, portfolio, wine regions and product stories professionally to customers and trade partners.
Organise or support commercially relevant activities such as wine tastings, wine dinners, trade events and customer training.
Provide product training to key customers and local distribution partners where required.
Support the appropriate use of brand and marketing materials in the market.
3. Sales Planning & Market Insights
Provide regular sales forecasts and market input to support stock and inventory planning.
Share customer feedback, competitor activity, pricing observations and emerging market trends with management.
Work with internal stakeholders and local distribution partners to help ensure sufficient product availability to support sales activities.
Identify new market, channel and customer opportunities and make recommendations to support future growth.
4. Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate records of customer activity, sales pipeline and key commercial arrangements.
Provide regular updates and monthly reporting covering sales performance, pipeline development, market activity and upcoming priorities.
Manage approved market-related expenses within agreed budgets.

Development of the company's trade network in Vietnam.

Selection Criteria
Essential
Proven B2B sales or
business development experience in wine, spirits, premium food and beverage, hospitality or a related sector in Vietnam.
Demonstrated track record of identifying and developing new customers.
Strong existing network within the Vietnamese hospitality, F&B and/or retail market.
Fluent Vietnamese and strong professional English, both written and spoken.
Strong presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently as the company's key in-market representative.
Willingness to travel regularly within Vietnam and attend customer or trade events where required.
Legal right to work in Vietnam.
Desirable
Previous experience in the wine industry or demonstrated strong wine knowledge.
Formal wine qualification such as WSET Level 2 or 3.
Experience launching or developing a new brand in Vietnam.
Experience working with importers or distributors.
Familiarity with on-trade, off-trade and e-commerce sales channels in Vietnam.
