JOB DESCRIPTION
- lead sample room team to complete customer demand samples/order within requested lead-time and satisfying quality
- managing all the activities of sample room with a team includes pattern makers, sample sewers and qa qc teams
- supporting the technical parts to design, pre-production and manufacturing across all production process, from development stage to bulk production
- risk assessments
- being responsible for the training programs for new staffs as well as internal staffs
- communicating directly with customers technical and buying departments as well as our factories and qa teams.
- leading pre production meetings and pps approvals with factories
- implementing sampling procedures and scheduling - daily assessment to prioritize, organize and meet goals
- supervising the check of tech packs with qa + md in order to provide most accurate info to factories
- mark samples and finished patterns with information, such as garment size, section, style, identification, and sewing instructions
- create a paper pattern from which to mass-produce a design concept
- test patterns by giving instructions to making and fitting sample garments
- taking briefings from design team and putting them into action
- supervise and check the calculation of consumption for bulk production and provide info for costs sheets
- ensuring production receive all information and samples in a timely manner
- quality control of garments, finishing garments, coordinate to the related department in sourcing trims
- extensive knowledge about body measurements and fitting garments to different forms
- ability to read technical documents including tech packs + spec sheets + bom, calculation skills and experience in the field of outerwear a plus
- in-depth knowledge about marker making and marker optimization software - gerber or lectra (system knowledge and hands-on experience) - fully skilled to read patterns and adjust them with pattern maker team
- strong experience about material & textile, including fiber, yarns, knit and woven, understanding of garment construction
- master in material manufacturing/ dyeing and finishing, product value engineering knowledge, apparel marker efficiency, garment construction and production (cutting process, garment sewing)
- rich and strong knowledge of complete apparel product development process
- appreciation of details, shapes, proportions and sizes
