SCM Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the sourcing process and managing contracts within the organization. This role involves identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures. The SCM Superintendent will collaborate with various departments to optimize sourcing strategies, mitigate risks, and drive cost savings. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent negotiation abilities are essential for success in this position.
The SCM Superintendent performs the following key duties (but is not necessarily limited to)
1. Provides support to the SCM Manager in developing and delivering overall SCM business improvement strategies and projects in line with the business requirements.
2. Provide a central point of reference for the business for all matters related to sourcing, contracts and procurement.
3. Vendors/contractors selection and management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/contractors, negotiate contracts, and establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors/contractors. Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
4. Conduct regular market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and supplier performance. On the other hand, conduct data analysis to find opportunities to improve and optimize the costs.
5. Negotiate pricing, Terms & Conditions and Value-added Services
6. Identify and create opportunities for cost reduction and value adding by introducing a collaborative approach to preferred supplier/contractor arrangements for both goods and services
7. Implement and maintain effective and efficient commercial practices to ensure successful delivery of all contracted services including monitoring supplier performance
8. Manage the
purchasing functions to:
• Ensure policies/procedures are complied with.
• Meet and exceed customer (end users') requirements; and
• Optimize business outcomes and ensure value for money
9. Manage the Sourcing & Contract team and Procurement team (both in Hanoi and Thai Nguyen office) and provide training and performance.
10. Manage relationships and effectively liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders and ensure a timely and efficient service is provided
11.Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Finance, to create effective business plans.
12.Positively contribute, through strong leadership, and adherence to the company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
13.Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the SCM manager
OTHER DUTIES
• Mentors, trains and provides direction to employees in sourcing, contracts and procurement factions
• Develop and implement departmental objectives and assess performance of the Sourcing, Contracts and Procurement functions and their personnel
• Creates and develops a culture of continuous improvement within both the Sourcing and Contracts and the overall SCM function.
