Senior Compliance Officer

This role would require collaborating with the brands and ensure vendors fully understand and follows ethical and social requirements. Candidate should have a depth knowledge of the apparel industry latest procedures and regulations to ensure company develop and maintain compliance to local and global standards.
Responsibilities
- The candidate will be fully responsible for new vendor on-boarding processes and follow/ apply brands assessments.
- The candidate will be responsible to oversight the ethical and social polices/ programs are up to date and implementation.
- Ability to use sound of judgement to make effective decisions within context of compliance and be able to support decisions with facts and details.
- Ability to research, analyze complex regulations/laws and provide solutions to support business objectives and Introduce new compliance assessment programs to suppliers.
- Monitor and review existing suppliers to ensure, maintain compliance with required Ethical and Social Compliance programs and follow through with any audit corrective actions needed.
- Review self-assessment of the suppliers FFC and Higg portals and support suppliers to update accurate details.
- Conduct annual internal assessments to identify and mitigate risks of non-compliances of the active suppliers, make the reports, provide consultation, follow up improvements.
- Monitor the validity of social & security audits, certifications and other required audits (example - Higg FEM, FSLM, SLCP, Better Work, WRAP,SCAN, GSV, GMP, SEDEX, ZDHC etc).
