LEGO® is building a brand-new factory in Vietnam. The role is ideal for someone who has strong civil and construction project experience and who wants to be a part of crafting this fantastic new factory in an exciting new location for LEGO!

Core Responsibilities:
• Reports directly to the Head of Global Workplace Projects LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam (GWP LMV) and defacto Program Lead for LMV.
• Working closely with the Director and Stream Owner for LMV Civil and Construction and rest of the team to join the management of this new factory in Vietnam & learn the LEGO® Project Model and Standards.
• Project coordination with project stream owners and internal /external partners.
• Quality checks and follow up (top priorities for this role).
• Submit input and needed reporting to Head of GWP LMV and Director and Stream Owner for LMV Civil and Construction.
• Working closely with PM company, CM&S company and external Design Companies and Consultants to secure approved Program, Quality and Commercials are followed.
• Will be required on site for majority of time to ensure construction is progressing well, with no EHS issues, quality concerns and progressing on time.
• Working closely with the General Contractor to ensure the factory is built according to Quality, on Time and on Budget.
• Handle handover of completed buildings to other Streams such as Molding, Packing, Warehouses, Local Facility Management.
• Implement change requests including report to Director and Stream Owner for LMV Civil and Construction.
• Risk management - constant evaluation of the existing risk and adequate mitigation - report to Director and Stream Owner for LMV Civil and Construction.

The role is critical to support the GWP to build the new LMV Factory. There will be challenges coordinating the efforts from Europe and Asia, to get the factory started on time.
We have a temporary office in HCMC and an office on construction site. You will be part of a small team of expats and local hires and will mainly stay on site.
Report directly to the Head of Workplace Projects LMV and defacto Program Lead for LMV while also working closely with Director and Stream Owner for LMV Civil and Construction.
As a key member of the Global Workplace Projects LMV team, the individual will need be determined to get the project done. We expect this individual to take on a lot of responsibility during construction phase and handover. The individual needs to have strong experience working with local general contractors in Vietnam.
We prefer a local individual who has good knowledge of the local construction approvals processes, construction regulation and planning processes.
The individual must be globally minded and ideally have strong construction experience working with international companies. But, we also require the individual to have good appreciation of local customs and culture.

• Prefer candidates with education background in Civil and Construction management or/and Building and Facility Management.
• Experience as Project Manager of Civil and Construction projects - especially according to Site Management, Quality Assurance, Following up, Handover and Reporting.
• Experience from working in international/multinational companies will be preferred.
• Experience of local construction approvals, regulations, permit processes.
• Knowledge in legal and commercial aspects within building industry.
• Preferably demonstrated ability within same field of practice.
• Good communication skills and stakeholder management
• Result oriented and customer focused
• Strong sense for collaboration
• Adequate functional expertise
• Experience in Sustainable construction practices.
