POSITION PURPOSE
Senior Course Officer will provide excellent assistance to Dean of Higher Education, Head of Post Graduate Centre, Course Office Manager, Partner institutions, Faculty staff, students and parents in daily course operations.
Senior Course Officer will contribute to the achievement of the academic delivery quality for post graduate courses and University of London (UOL) programmes, the smooth delivery of services and enquiry management to all stakeholders regarding course administrations and programme events.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
MBA Programme:
- Act as the contact point for MBA students and faculty and internal departments to coordinate and ensure smooth delivery of the programme, classes, events.
- Monitor programme structure, module descriptors, prepare the master teaching plan for each intake and monitor timetable throughout the course, make changes where necessary.
- Assist in the production of core programme information, materials, and general handbooks.
- Ensure classes running as timetabled, prepare make-up plan and provide timely support and communications to faculty and students if there are any changes during the course operations.
- Take responsibility for the creation and maintenance of accurate student records for each intake, module and manage class attendance. Laise with Registry to keep track of student's progress.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for faculty, visiting lecturers.
- Coordinate with Course Office, Student Information Office and other departments to handle and report all issues related to class operations and activities on both offline and online delivery approach. Ensures that student questions, concerns, and requests are addressed. Ensures that the Head of Post Graduate Centre, Dean and Course Office Manager are aware of student concerns; involve them as necessary and appropriate for resolution.
- Conduct the course feedbacks survey on each module and consolidate reports for constant improvement.
- Plan and organize logistics and operations for major events (Orientation, Induction, Graduation), study trips, other events and activities which can include limited evening and weekend work.
- Support Head of Post Graduate Centre in programme development.
- Support SE, SR, MKT activities for students and the MBA programme.
UOL and IFP programmes
- Act as the contact point for students and faculty and internal departments to coordinate and ensure smooth delivery of the IFP & UOL classes.
- Coordinate and keep a tracking file of module registrations for UoL students every academic year. Liaise with Admission Office to support students in module registrations on UOL portal.
- Support Discipline Lead in maintaining up-to-date programme regulations, in developing and delivery programmes of UOL.
Others:
- Manage the materials and documents of all MMRs, PMRs, AMRs and Academic Action Plan. Provide necessary support where relevant regarding this process.
- Prepare reports when required.
- Contribute and support department's event such as parent meetings, students meetings, and graduations.
- Other tasks assigned by line manager and the Academic management team.

- Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, or Foreign Languages
- At least three year experience in the same position in a university or similar institutions environment is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Vietnamese
- Excellent computer skills - MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Database)
Desirable
- Masters degree
- Extensive experience in the area of programme or course coordinator from an international education institution in Vietnam or overseas.
