Senior Database Administrator DBA, SQL, MongoDB2200

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our AI & ML product team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's databases used for AI & ML applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management, extensive experience with Linux operating systems, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining DB systems that meet the company's business target, data storage and processing requirements:
  • Selecting appropriate database technologies
  • Developing data models
  • Designing tables and schemas
  • Optimizing database performance.
  • Installing, configuringe, and maintaining databases including but not limited to MySQL, MS-SQL, Oracle, MongDB, Druid for AI & ML applications
• Developing and maintaining data integration and ETL (extract, transform, load) processes to ensure data consistency and accuracy across various data sources. Developing and implementing data validation rules, data cleansing techniques, and other measures to ensure that the data in the database is accurate, complete, and consistent.
• Developing and implementing database backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure that data is protected and can be recovered in the event of a disaster or system failure.
• Monitoring database performance, identifying, and resolving performance issues such as slow queries, database lockups, and other problems that may affect the overall performance of the database system.
• Optimizing database queries and indexes to ensure efficient data processing.
• Documenting database processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure that the database system is properly maintained and that data is managed effectively.
• Developing database applications/APIs that provide users with access to data and enable them to perform various tasks such as querying, reporting, and data analysis.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and implement database-related projects
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends to ensure that the company's database system is using the most efficient and effective technologies available, including but not limited to participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new database technologies and tools
• Participating in on-call rotation for after-hours support and incident response
• Providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting database-related issues, resolving technical problems related to the database system, and providing training to users on how to use the database system effectively.
• Providing mentoring and guidance to junior team members

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in database administration and 2+ years of experience in the financial industry.
• Strong understanding of database architecture and design:
  • Having a strong understanding of database concepts such as normalization, indexing, and data modeling,
  • Having experience with various database management systems including but not limited to MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Druid.
  • Having strong SQL skills and being able to write complex queries, create views, and perform data analysis using SQL.
  • Being able to diagnose and troubleshoot database performance issues, identify root causes, and develop solutions to optimize database performance.
• Experience with Linux operating system such as Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, SUSE
• Familiarity with Linux networking and security concepts
• Knowledge of database backup and recovery procedures
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
• Strong understanding of database security concepts such as encryption, access controls, and auditing, and be able to implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Committed to continuous learning and be able to adapt to new technologies and tools as they emerge.
• Being able to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and completeness, as well as to identify potential issues before they become problems.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms such as AWS RDS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Competitive salary and full salary in probation: Up to $2200
