Mô tả công việc

A Senior Garment Fitting Technician typically possesses a combination of education, experience, and skills specific to garment construction and fitting.
Responsibilities
1. Fit Sessions: Conducting fit sessions with models or clients to assess the fit of garments and make necessary adjustments.
2. Alterations: Making precise alterations to the pattern to achieve the desired fit and garment appearance.
3. Quality Control: Ensuring that finished garments meet the required standards of fit, comfort, and style.
4. Collaboration: Working closely with designers, pattern makers, and production teams to achieve the best fit for garments.
5. Documentation: Keeping detailed records of fitting adjustments and alterations for future reference.

Yêu cầu

Education:
Formal Education:
1. A degree or diploma in fashion design, textile technology, garment technology, or a related field.
2. Specialized Courses: Courses in pattern making, garment construction, and tailoring can be particularly beneficial.
Skills:
1. Knowledge of Fabrics and Materials: Understanding different types of fabrics and their properties is crucial for making fitting adjustments.
2. Pattern Making and Alteration: Skills in creating and modifying patterns to ensure proper fit.
3. Sewing and Garment Construction: Proficiency in sewing techniques and garment construction methods.
4. Attention to Detail: Precision in measurements and adjustments to ensure the best fit.
5. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze fitting issues and determine the best solutions.
6. Communication Skills: Effective communication with designers, tailors, and clients to understand and meet their fitting requirements.
7. Computer Skills: Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software and other digital tools used in garment fitting and design.
Experience:
1. Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in garment fitting, tailoring, or garment technology.
2. Industry Knowledge: Experience working with different types of fabrics, garments, and fitting techniques. Familiarity with both mass production and bespoke tailoring processes.
