Senior Merchandiser - High-End Furniture, Large US Retailer

We are looking for a Senior Merchandiser to manage our mid-high end US retail client with potential to work with other similar level clients as well. Chinese language skills are a big plus!
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- sourcing appropriate suppliers based on customer inquiries
- managing product development and costing
- collaborating with clients and suppliers
- negotiating purchasing terms and costs to fulfill buyer requirements
- interfacing with customers and vendors/factories, assessing and selecting potential suppliers based on capability and facilities
- monitoring on-time delivery and preparing itineraries for buyer visits.
- Managing a small team of merchandisers and support staff
