ABOUT THE JOB
You will be part of our delivery team and will be responsible for providing technical expertise throughout all phases of the software delivery life cycle as we initiate a transformation of NAB technology.
YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with other NAB's technology leaders towards improving and fulfilling the NAB technical direction
Evangelize and promote JavaScript - NodeJS best practices
Be passionate about JavaScript - NodeJS, stay relevant and understand how to implement advancement for existing or new systems
Design, develop, review, implement, and manage application code and services for the production and pre-release environments in NodeJS
Design, develop, review, implement, and manage continuous integration, build management and deployment scripts, systems, and any code as required
Participate in Agile software development, prototyping, and code review with international development teams to build scalable microservices-based products
Understand the requirements of the customer or business and utilize this knowledge to develop applications that are consistent with this
Work with delivery teams to achieve success through development using CI/CD and DevOps practices, processes, and tooling
Provide robust coding practices and solid unit and component test coverage, and code debugging.

Must have:
At least 4 years' experience working in Software Development:
Solid experience in JavaScript ES6 (import/ export of Modules, promise, async wait, call-backs) and TypeScript working with NodeJS
Solid experience in using Jest Node.js unit testing or similar frameworks
Solid experience in designing & developing RESTful APIs and microservices-based systems
Solid DevOps and Continuous Delivery skillset: Experience in using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and tools
Solid experience in Agile development environments
Well-versed in writing structured, well-documented, maintainable, and clean code
Excellent in problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong understanding of standard Software Engineering processes, Testing, and Agile methodology
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud-based technologies (Azure Functions, Durable Functions, Serverless)
Strong English communication skills (both verbal & written), especially in the global software development environment
Nice to have:
Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry
Experience in developing payments switching and processing, terminal management systems
Experience in scripting (Bash, Python, Groovy, PowerShell, Azure CLI)
Wide-ranging knowledge of various technologies (programming languages, frameworks, software architectures,)
Experience with developing microservices Java and SpringBoot
Experience in Front-End frameworks, specifically React.js
Any additional certification or training in IT, Business, Computer Science, or related area.
