ABOUT THE JOB
Ingenico Vietnam is looking for a QA Engineer to join our Payment Solutions team in Hanoi.
In this role, you will be responsible for validating payment applications, POS solutions, and transaction management systems to ensure the highest level of quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with
Project Managers,
Developers, Automation Engineers, and customers to define testing strategies, execute validation activities, and support solution delivery.
This position is a maternity leave cover contract with an expected duration of 6 to 9 months. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on global payment solutions within a collaborative and international engineering environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with Project Managers and development teams to understand product features and define effective testing strategies.
Estimate testing efforts and develop comprehensive test plans.
Coordinate with
software engineers to ensure continuous validation and testing throughout the development lifecycle.
Support automation initiatives and collaborate with automation teams to improve testing efficiency.
Participate in customer solution delivery activities and help customers understand product capabilities and features.
Manage release identification and validation processes within CI environments.
Perform testing of software applications, POS solutions, and payment-related systems to ensure compliance with business and customer requirements.
Analyze system integrations and support POS connectivity with banking and backend systems.
Investigate, track, and report defects while ensuring timely resolution.
Provide technical support to customers and end users regarding applications, systems, and issue resolution.
Continuously improve testing processes, quality standards, and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Mathematics & Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Language: Basic English communication skills.
Experience & Technical Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control.
Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test planning, and defect management processes.
Hands-on experience testing mobile applications, particularly Android applications.
Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
Good understanding of Web technologies and Host communication protocols.
Familiarity with Windows, Unix/Linux platforms, networking concepts, and embedded devices.
Ability to investigate technical issues independently and learn new technologies quickly.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of CI/CD processes and release validation.
Understanding of encryption technologies and security concepts.
Experience working with POS terminals or payment-related solutions is a plus.
