Main Purpose
The Cluster SHE (Safety, Health & environment) Data Analyst, Innovation & Learning Coordinator is part of Cluster SHE Capabilities team. S/he is responsible for managing the SHE performance reporting process, driving improvements in process, data and systems, to improve visualisation and analytics to drive insight into performance in the cluster. S/he is responsible for coordinating the deployment SHE digital technologies and solutions to improve the safety of people and the planet. S/he is also responsible to ensure alignment and the landing of SHE Learning programme to achieve the overall SHE ambitions.
This role will allow you to bring strong analytical skills alongside creativity and innovation to the way we measure, monitor and report on our progress and impact. As Cluster SHE Data Analyst, Innovation & Learning Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to influence the way that SHE is thought about across Unilever and to enable improvements in Performance. This is possible through bring out the stories and evidence in the data to focus attention on the areas of greatest opportunity and risk, addressing the challenges and opportunities through technologies and innovations to make a step change in SHE performance, and leading a learning programme to ensure competence to operate and to lead in SHE roles, which recognises and develops SHE expertise.
The role will work closely with internal SHE teams and operations teams across factories, offices, labs and warehouse within the geographies along with SHE Expertise Platforms. The role deploys and supports programme in SHE Data & Digital improvement, Innovation and Learning across geographic and within the SHE community, in which trust is high, all employees advocate for SHE, and a learning, experimenting growth-mindset is prevalent. The role develops engaging communication initiatives to bring the SHE strategy to life across the cluster, and to support execution and adoption of targeted programmes.
Key Responsibility
The Cluster SHE Data Analyst, Innovation & Learning Coordinator is responsible for :
1) Contribute to tracking cluster SHE performance through monitoring and reporting all lagging and leading KPIs.
a. Track monthly/quarterly/annually reporting of KPIs, by working with the countries/sites to ensure data is reported accurately within the required timelines.
b. Provide timely and accurate cluster performance data for internal and external reporting stakeholders.
c. Respond to ad hoc requests for data.
d. Support stakeholders to use the data meaningfully to guide strategic decision making.
e. Deliver basis for annual performance target setting on the Safety data.
f. Run comparison analysis to identify outliers in data reporting and follow up on error correction and root cause analysis.
g. Maintain SHE related database e.g. the Occupational Safety (OS), EPR, PAR, SHENet, etc.
h. Coordinate the FWS audit program and SHE specific audits with input from the global SHE director/manager. Track and maintains auditor records. Support SHE manager in ensuring FWS audits takes place as per schedule.
2) Improve digital and Data capabilities by deploying systems, processes, and tools to enable data-driven decision making.
a. Work with multi-functional teams to deliver real-time Safety performance visualisations and tools.
b. Investigate options to harmonise and automate the data sources.
c. Understand the end-to-end flow of information between data platforms and functional groups to create processes and governance to minimize reporting errors.
d. Contribute to development of dashboards using platforms such as Power BI.
e. Act as single point of contact and as Power User for various analytics projects and for other functions to improve visibility of Safety data across the organisation.
f. Take the lead in the coordination and deployment of new databases like Safety Observation, Audit Tracking etc.
3) Coordinating cluster SHE Innovation initiatives by :
a. Owning the cluster SHE Innovation Programme, populating an Innovation project funnel and facilitating its governance.
b. Scouting internally and externally for new Technology solutions.
c. Evaluating Technology solutions and prioritising them for impact on SHE performance.
d. Deploying selected strategic innovation projects, and ensuring the delivery of Technology solutions through SHE communities and local execution teams.
e. Stimulating innovation mindset and ideation in the SHE community.
f. Stimulating replication of innovative technologies across sites.
4) Coordinating cluster SHE Learning agendas by :
a. Ensuring an aligned strategy in SHE Learning, deploy global and/or creating frameworks for consistently great delivery that results in keeping people and planet safe.
b. Identifying learning gaps in SHE capability and developing cluster SHE Learning programme to address it.
c. Co-ordination of the Cluster SHE learning activities and linking across teams.
d. Developing an engagement programme for SHE Communities to accelerate evolution of SHE Culture.
SKILL
ESSENTIAL
  • Strong data & analytics skills, or statistical background with experience in transforming data into information.
  • Strong and effective communication & presentation skills and virtual working skills.
  • Effective excellent collaboration skills and experience with navigating large organisations and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to exploit digital tools in communication, collaboration, and learning.
  • Attention to detail and a high standard of work.
  • Good observation and auditing skills.
PREFERRED
  • Information Technology background to manage databases, or qualification in science or statistics with experience in data management.
  • Change management skills.
  • Passion to learn and explore technology inside and outside Unilever.
Experience Required:

ESSENTIAL
  • Experience in Occupational Health & Safety .
  • Proven track record of analytical thinking and project management .
  • Experience driving continuous improvement in data management and reporting.
  • Experience in leading strategic agendas and effective communication and working with diverse groups at regional level.
  • Experience with PowerBI.
PREFERRED
  • 3-5 years' experience in extended Supply Chain operations, a good understanding of manufacturing operations.
  • 1-2 years' experience in data management.
  • Prioritisation and task management.
  • Experience in digital, engineering, learning and innovation Project and Programme management.
  • Appropriate functional / technical expertise.
