Mô tả công việc
The SUP Reduction Lead will be responsible for providing technical oversight and innovative practices to lead collective action initiatives and develop provincial- and local-Level action plans for SUP reduction, and increase public awareness and education on SUP reduction measures.
Key Responsibilities
▪ Lead activities that focus on SUP reduction measures demonstrated (Objective 2) in Vietnam.
▪ Foster and sustain a culture of private sector innovation to reduce and reuse solid waste and plastic, using grants, mentorship and other capacity building activities.
▪ Assist with structuring private sector engagement and partnerships to further expand and strengthen plastic recycling initiatives.
▪ Support the development and strengthening of EPR, polluter pay principles and other approaches.
▪ Ensure gender equality and social inclusion are mainstreamed throughout all Objective 2 activities.
▪ Support implementation of a learning approach for the program, including identifying operational priorities and best practices/lessons and windows of opportunity to improve or scale as needed.
▪ Ensure timely achievement of program activities in adherence to annual work plan and budget.
▪ Provide technical writing support to and review key program deliverables and reports.

*** Qualifications and Skills Required
- Minimum Academic and Professional Qualifications
▪ Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Civil/Mechanical/Process Engineering, Environmental Law, Solid Waste Management or other related field
- Minimum Work Experience:
▪ Seven years' relevant professional experience supporting circular economy, plastics recycling or other relevant initiatives in Vietnam.
▪ Demonstrated experience supporting private sector, non-governmental organizations and/or other civil society organizations to develop business ideas, innovations, or other entrepreneurship models in the SWM sector.
Specific knowledge or familiarity with single-use plastic, plastic recycling, EPR and polluter pay principles.
▪ Knowledge of regional and global SUP plastic regulations and practices.
▪ Prior experience with USAID- or other donor-funded programs.
*** Skills and Competencies
▪ Proven ability to work under pressure, and with multiple concurrent demands.
▪ Excellent analytical and writing skills including the ability to communicate policy recommendations in a succinct and clear manner
▪ Ability to travel and work throughout Vietnam as requested
▪ Demonstrated ability to work productively within a team.
▪ Computer skills including strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Office applications.
▪ Fluency in Vietnamese and English required
