Synopsis Of Duties
The QA/QC Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and control procedures to ensure that construction works comply with project specifications, standards, and legal requirements.
This role oversees quality inspections, documentation, and corrective actions to maintain the highest level of construction quality.
Core Duties & Quality Management System
• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC policies, procedures, and checklists in accordance with project specifications and international standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, BS).
• Ensure all quality documentation is properly maintained and up-to-date.
Inspection & Testing
• Oversee material inspections, site inspections, and testing processes to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on inspection schedules and quality requirements.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions
• Identify, document, and report any non-conformance issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Coordination & Communication
• Work closely with site engineers,
project managers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
• Attend project meetings to provide quality updates and recommendations.
Training & Awareness
• Conduct training sessions for site staff on QA/QC standards and procedures.
• Promote quality awareness throughout the project team.
Reporting
• Prepare and submit regular QA/QC reports to relevant parties.
• Maintain records of all inspection reports, test results, and quality-related correspondence.
