Sourcing Engineer is defined as: Sourcing, negotiating, and buying of goods, materials, and services to meet the Company's operational requirements.
We're looking for a Sourcing Engineer responsible for overseeing the procurement process, sourcing and managing supplier relationships. This role requires a strategic approach to
purchasing, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
• Procurement Management: Oversee and manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure advantageous deals.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, new products, and potential suppliers, ensuring the organization remains competitive.
• Cost Management: Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide support in meeting those needs.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
• Reporting: Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and market trends for senior management.
• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory standards.
• Self-learning capability in new product understanding and cost-targeted sourcing.
• A relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred.
• Proven purchasing experience, preferably at least 7 years in an HVAC, or automotive or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.
• Contract management and supplier experience.
• Understanding processes and supply chain management.
• Computer literate, including advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and availability for up to 25% travel.
• Effective communication skills in English and flexibility to support U.S. business hours.
