Product Innovation is a department within the group function Technology with the assignment to work with BillerudKorsnäs' long term innovation and development to create conditions for profitability. The work takes place in close collaboration with product and business development within the company and together with external actors to take part in the latest advances in research and development.

We are now looking for a polymer technology specialist in the field of material development. As a specialist, you are responsible for building the company's knowledge within your specialist area to assist with solutions needed for BillerudKorsnäs to succeed with its product- and business development ambitions. You will work closely with other departments in the company to find solutions to the most critical challenges that the company faces in terms of material development and act as an expert in your specialist area in various product innovation projects. The position means that you will independently and in teams carry out investigations and projects to develop the company's packaging materials. You will collaborate in projects with both customers and external R&D actors.

The position reports to Senior Manager Product Innovation Center and could be placed at one of our sites in Gruvön, Frövi or Solna.

Qualifications

We are looking for a person with a Master of Science, PhD or equivalent in the field of chemical engineering, preferably with a focus on polymer technology. To succeed in this role, you have preferably a minimum of 5 years' experience as a specialist or project manager for material development in the field of polymer technology, paper and board industry or equivalent. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written; Swedish is appreciated.
