Strategic Sourcing Assistant Manager

About The Roles and Responsibilities:
• Analysing available supply chain from Raw materials, sub materials, Electrical parts, mechanical parts and understand the technical aspects of each commodity.
• Study and analyst Vietnam's regional material Supply chain and initiate development plans with regional customers and stakeholders to create synergy to Samsung's business needs.
• Create and drive strategy with market insights as well as suppliers to meet annual and long term targets.
• Sensing information on Market trend, Supply Chain movement, Government policies through various routes and methods; Analyzing, processing, and using information according to the purpose.
• Conduct RFQs through RFPs to support Design, R&D and HQ purchasing team objectives with regards to cost savings, new technology, new trend, new material as well as sustainability.
• Collaborate with HQ/Subsidiaries on various projects: Sourcing fairs, Cost down project, teardown project, benchmarking project.
Job Descriptions:
• Develop and execute Sourcing strategies and goals to achieve related Sourcing KPIs.
• Establish and build relationship with stakeholders, customers, suppliers to maintain an up-to-date information on market situation, SCM movement, government policies etc.
• Work with cross functional team-mates across the region to collaborate responsibilities to achieve synergy such as lead time reduction in information access, supplier sourcing, etc.
• Keeping track of pass sourcing and best practices to manage efficient database base on commodities and able to present relevant suppliers whenever needed.
• Though working closely with all suppliers, ensuring no leakage of confidential information has always be a top priority.
• Managing internal stakeholders & suppliers escalation situation when it arises, such as ad hoc reporting on natural disasters, early warning on disruption on resources etc.
