Structural Engineer (R&D) - Experienced level

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related experience and/or training, equivalent combination of education and experience required.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering (structural design, construction method design, structural research,...)
Sufficient in analysis software such as SAP2000/ETABS
Sufficient in AutoCAD drafting/modeling
Proficient in VBA for Excel is a plus
Proficient in IBC, ACI318, and ASCE 7 codes is a plus
Ability to work collaboratively with other members within the department and across functions.
Analysis / Reasoning: Effective analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables and solve them independently.
Self-Management: Ability to display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
Team Player: Demonstrated ability to motivate and work with team members. Must be able to connect, interface, and communicate well with a variety of internal partners in sales, marketing, and development.
English Reading Comprehension / Speaking / Writing: Ability to read and interpret documents such as architectural and structural plans, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with engineering team in the US. Ability to present ideas by presenting to a larger group of Engineers and Product Managers from the US.
