The Job
The System Administrator is responsible for operating and optimizing server infrastructure, ensuring system stability, high availability, security compliance, and supporting production deployments.
As a System Administrator, your responsibilities will be:
- Manage Linux/Windows servers and virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V).
- Maintain core infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, LDAP/AD, File/Web/Mail, Backup).
- Deploy and operate monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix).
- Ensure high availability via multi-AZ/cluster architectures.
- Implement PCI DSS patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Harden OS, network, and firewall configurations.
- Manage centralized logging and enforce RBAC/Least Privilege.
- Operate VPN connections and troubleshoot network issues.
- Support application deployment with DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.
- Run backup/restore, DR operations, on-call support, and RCA reporting
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT with 2-3+ years of System Admin experience in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Linux and solid networking fundamentals.
- Experience with high-availability, low-latency, or payment/transaction systems.
- Hands-on skills with virtualization platforms and HAProxy/Nginx, IPSec VPN, firewall.
- Proficient in monitoring systems, troubleshooting, log analysis, and RCA.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS, ISO 27001, logging and data retention standards.
- Experience in system hardening and access control management.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and clear communication under pressure.
- Ability to work both independently and in teams with high responsibility and ownership.
- Preferred: fintech/banking experience, Docker/Kubernetes knowledge, and certifications (CCNA, LFCS).
