General
- Update & conduct trainings on best practice, guidelines and knowledge sharing of tax laws to all finance staff
- Ensure all finance staff are kept fully informed of tax implications on business transactions
Management
- Co-ordinate and ensure the companies/projects discharge its legal & taxation obligations (i.e., review all tax returns) pertaining to corporate income tax, VAT, excise taxes, local taxes, withholding taxes
- Monitor and communicate impact of changes in taxation regulations with proposed action plan
- Perform pre-tax audit assessment for companies/projects in Vietnam which are due for external tax audits
- Setup transfer pricing documentation policy, guide and review the documentation prepared by finance staff
- Manage local tax audits effectively and minimize the tax exposures
- Guide and review official letters send to tax authorities
- Advise and provide guidance to finance staff to deal with tax officers
- Liaison with tax officers as and when required by Head of Finance and Accounting Division
Relationships
- Build relationships with external tax agencies/authorities/consultants to secure strong support as and when required
- Work closely with Finance team, General Directors
Innovation
- Identify, assess and facilitate opportunities to improve and achieve tax savings
- Constantly look for ways to minimize the Company's tax liabilities and improve tax effectiveness of the business
