Teamlead Accounts Payable
Our Finance Department at our HQ in Antwerp is looking for a new colleague to further strengthen our Accounts Payable team. This new role is pivotable to support Manuchars growth and the Finance function.
As
Teamlead Accounts Payable, you will be the A/P process owners including a leading role in the upcoming A/P Workflow optimization project. This role is situated on the crossroad between Finance, Accounting, the A/P team and the business teams
it supports. As a Team Lead you will manage a team of 6 accountants including supporting them in their growth. You play a key role in driving efficiency, safeguarding internal controls, and ensuring smooth collaboration across departments.
Your responsibilities
- Lead, coach and support a team of six A/P accountants.
- Oversee daily A/P processing and ensure timely, accurate results.
- Organize and prioritize the transactional workload; identify and resolve operational issues.
- Take the lead in the rollout of A/P workflow automation, ensuring proper implementation, adoption and continuous optimization.
- Drive standardization and process improvements and maintain SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and audit requirements.
- Act as the key liaison with Inside Sales, Treasury, IT and Accounting peers.
Your profile
- Min. bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent) with min. 3 years of experience as a people leader in a transactional accounting environment.
- Proven experience in process improvement, ideally within a shared services or multinational context.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a clear, engaging communication style.
- Understanding of VAT principles.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 ERP and Power BI is a plus.
- Accountable, structured, accurate, customer-centric and solution-oriented.
