Your Role in a team:

As a Tech Lead of the team, you do not only exceed in your role but inspires those around you to strive for excellence every day:

• Your primary activity is creating and deploying software to meet the needs of the business; both through your own actions and through force multiplication across Go1. You apply and mentor the best practices for software development, as a result, your team's software is high-quality, highly available, maintainable and measurable.
• You directly influence the development pipeline for the team. You seek to find improvements for your team and automate activities rather than repeat them.
• You contribute actively to team processes such as stand-up, backlog review, and retrospectives. You deliver demonstrations of your work at organisation-level forums.
• You are responsible for the software your team writes and you influence the software of consumer and dependency teams to deliver your software.

What does your day-to-day work look like?

• Hands-on development of high-quality working software, deployed into production
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize of software (including quality and performance testing)
• Contribute and follow the Go1 architectural and software development guidelines
• Collaborate with other engineers and working team members from other disciplines to discover, test and develop solutions to achieve product, business and technology goals
• Actively contribute to technical design decisions for your team and champion Go1 Design principles adherence
• Actively participate in Scrum events to continuously deliver and improve the team.

Must-haves:

• A growth mindset: you need to be passionate about learning
• Proficiency of at least one of our core development languages: NodeJS, PHP, Typescript/React
• 3+ years of experience in a Technical Lead role
• Practical experience in applying software engineering practices to the development pipeline
• Practical experience designing software solutions that can scale globally
• Practical experience with software quality from unit testing to operational performance.
• Experience mentoring other developers
• Experience building scalable services within a distributed system environment
• Comfortable at communicating in English with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and business requirements

Nice to haves:

• Experience in SaaS or product development
• Experience with Azure, Service-Oriented Architectures, API development, and microservices an-do attitude

Key Performance Indicators:

• Individual contribution to the Engineer's assigned Working Team OKRs
