Technical Manager RD

Job Description

Summary:

The Technical Manager will lead 3 teams of developers, supporting them in building the company's R&D projects. You will work closely with Vietnam Country Manager to develop a strategy for the team to meet the company's goals and objectives and to improve the quality of the service it delivers internally and externally. You will need to plan and monitor the successful implementation of this strategy.

The Technical Manager is responsible for the quality and technical approach taken by team members, ensuring it is in-line with the company strategy - and that projects are delivered on time and on budget. Creating and maintaining a professional culture within the team, where individuals take ownership and are fastidious and proud of delivering excellence and quality.

About You

You will be in charge of the development of the most important projects in the company

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE

∙ To lead and manage 3 teams of senior web developers and software developers

∙ To be responsible to deliver on-time and on-quality features following the product pipeline

∙ To setup development process and ensure that all team members acknowledge and follow correctly

∙ To create or maintain CI/CD deployment process together with DevOps team, setup roles and rules in order to manage product environment including development, staging and production

∙ To ensure a high SLA for live product, be contactable in the event of incidents happen during no working hours

∙ To coach and guide team members on how to solve difficult technical issues, it's also expected for the Technical Manager to provide technical direction or to do actual implementation (if needed)

∙ To have a responsible attitude toward the product development, any incidents relate to technical, Technical Manager should be the first one to take responsibility

∙ To coordinate with other departments to receive requirements for development, also to provide technical experience/suggestions to help them in decision making and planning

∙ To review and report project progress and overview of the performance of all individuals in team

REQUIREMENTS

Experience

• Bachelor degree or equivalent

• Diploma in Digital Design or related field

• At least 5 years of web & mobile development experience

• At least 3 years of development management experience

Skill

• Working knowledge in: Angular, NodeJS, Python, PHP, TypeScript and Flutter

• Strong knowledge with Git repositories management and git flow

• Experienced with CI/CD system, experienced with Team City is a plus

• Experienced with Scrum/Agile process, able to manage the process

• Effective in communication, presentations, negotiations and organization using English

• Hands-on experience in managing product environments including development, staging and production

• Experienced with AWS, Linus OS

Authority Reporting

The Technical Manager will report directly to the Country Manager
