Technician (Garment)

JOB PURPOSES
The Technician is responsible for a comprehensive support to the factory that assesses sample quality process capabilities, advises on areas for sample making and ensures compliance to the standards associated with each technical process for individual Customers. Ensure each factory to produce samples "Right First Time, Every Time" and therefore reduce rework, eliminate any quality issue and provide a significant reduction in time consuming and costs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Document and audit Standard Operating Procedures for sample submission.
• Promote good team spirit between relevant vendor, QA team and Merchandising Units to align to Brand strategy.
• Review Tech Packs to ensure all technical specifications are required by the Customers.
• Monitor the sample quality performance can be met customers' specifications and compliance with tech package.
• To create an appropriate basic block which accepted by individual Brands/Customers and ensure factory has used the agreed basic block for new sample pattern modification.
• Measure sample and ensure all measurement is compliance with Customer's approved size specification.
• Offer expertise in solving pattern, fitting, sewing, workmanship problems and provides technical advice and improvement suggestions to resolve sample quality problem.
• Maintain the 1st sample and the resubmit sample timing should be turn out within the agreed time frame for each individual customer.
• Produce alternative sample for customer using alternative methods if original method is not appropriate.
