JOB DESCRIPTION
As part of the Discova finance team, the Accounting Intern is responsible for maintaining the company's system of accounts and keeps books, records, payment on all company transactions. You have a strong desire for accuracy and high attention to detail and find success in completeness of supporting documents for the transactions before processing:
1. Invoice Processing:
Supervision of invoices for the countries under your remit.
Supervise the posting of invoices.
Review of information on the content of the tax invoice vs the Booking Voucher of the System, the amount (cost), number of services, tax and total amount of the invoice must coincide.
Verify and assure invoices are allocated in their respective cost-expense accounts.
Clarify invoices mismatches, making invoice reconciliation against the system.
2. Payments:
Prepare and supervise the scheduled payment to vendors for countries under your remit.
Coordinate with treasury and finance departments the payment date.
Prepare payments to vendors in national and/or foreign currency.
Regularly review invoices and make payments in line with payment date.
Identify the oldest invoices that needs to be paid to the different suppliers of the company.
3. Month End Closing:
Support the Month End closing in countries of remit.
Verify that the invoicing process is in order, to proceed with the proper reports and accounting closing.
REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Final year students or fresh graduate with excellent English Language skills.
Have educational background in Finance/Accounting.
Be able to work full time.
Intermediate Excel Skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Personal laptop is required.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to be flexible and implementing change when needed.
Excellent communicator to a diverse range of people (customers, suppliers, team members, leaders).

Able to work independently and within a team assisting team members to help everyone achieve results.
Flexible rotating roster that may include late nights, weekends and early mornings and flexible with uncertainties/changing priorities and under pressure.
