Trade Compliance Manager (Chinese speaking)

Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for overseeing trade compliance activities and addressing compliance issues within the region.
• Regularly audit import/export activities, bonded factories, bonded warehouses, and site management to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, and provide regular compliance metrics reports.
• Supervise import and export Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manage third-party relationships (such as brokers and logistics service providers) from a compliance standpoint.
• Offer guidance and interpretation of international trade compliance regulations, and provide training to employees, business personnel, brokers, and service providers to support regional compliance management.
• Participate in or conduct customs and government audits as assigned, and develop corrective action plans to ensure issues are resolved.
• Collaborate with the logistics team on Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for logistics service providers, ensuring compliance from a trade perspective.
• Lead the trade compliance monitoring program, identify risks, and work with regional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Develop, maintain, and implement trade compliance policies and procedures in the region.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal functions to promote global trade compliance awareness, proactively identify risks and threats, and develop appropriate compliance controls.
• Assist with special programs (e.g., Free Trade Area, FTA, duty drawback) and other risk management projects as assigned.
• Work with IT, logistics, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for system process improvements or optimizations to meet compliance requirements.
• Provide support and participate in other trade compliance-related matters as needed.
