Job Description:
DEPARTMENT SUMMARY The Trade Department manages commercial activities by analyzing market trends, optimizing shipping routes, maintaining customer relations, and monitoring performance to ensure efficient cargo transportation and drive revenue growth.
POSITION SUMMARY The Trade Coordinator supports trade-related activities by managing trade operational data, monitoring booking, capacity, and performance metrics, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure smooth daily operations. The role provides accurate local market and trade information through timely system updates and reporting to support trade visibility, forecasting, and issue tracking.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support trade planning and execution activities by collecting and consolidating market information such as freight rates, vessel capacity, and customer requirements, including updating long-range prospects for all trades and inputting feeder long-range forecasts in designated systems or OneDrive.
Collect, compile, and analyze trade data and performance reports to support trade monitoring and performance review, including preparing lifting performance reports, updating P/E (if any), tagging, and shortfall portal reporting.
Maintain and update freight rates, tariffs, and trade-related data in internal systems in accordance with spot/NACs rates and contractual or long-term agreements, and coordinate with Sales and Freighting teams to ensure pricing accuracy and consistency.
Monitor capacity utilization and space performance in line with allocated plans, including tracking miss-connections, shut-outs, advance or divert cases, and ensuring timely updates in iSpace and SOB.
Monitor daily booking performance and space allocation versus bookings on mother vessels and feeders, including following up and updating fix, optional, or divert allocations assigned by ARO or liners within required timelines, and coordinating with iSpace, Transshipment, and Capacity teams to support smooth trade execution.
Assist in tracking budget volume, revenue performance, and overall trade results by preparing summaries, dashboards, and supporting data for management reporting in line with applicable guidelines.
Participate in regular meetings with the Sales team to provide booking status, operational updates, and relevant trade-related information.
Prepare, review, and support the submission of weekly, monthly, and quarterly trade reports, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery.
Coordinate closely with internal departments to support effective execution and alignment of trade activities, including coastal management activities where mother vessels are used directly as feeders, and X-ship routing verification with timely communication to Scheduling/Customer Service teams.
Perform other trade-related and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
KEY EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in trade management, logistics, or a related field.
Experience in the shipping or logistics industry.
Knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
