Job Purpose
The Trade Marketing Specialist drives commercial effectiveness by developing and executing integrated trade marketing strategies. This role acts as a critical bridge between Marketing, Sales, and field teams to optimize channel growth, maximize category performance, and ensure flawless event activation across MT, GT, and B2B channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Trade Planning & Commercial Strategy
• Develop and manage integrated trade marketing plans and budgets aligned with brand strategies and sales targets.
• Establish and optimize the promotional and activation calendar across all distribution channels.
• Analyze sales data and campaign ROI to deliver actionable, data-driven optimization insights.
2. Channel & Category Management
• Analyze channel structures and shopper insights to optimize product portfolios and tailored channel programs.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
• Define in-store execution standards (Picture of Success), guidelines, and planograms across target channels.
3. Event & Field Activation
• Conceptualize and execute trade shows, consumer activations, and product launch events.
• Manage creative and production agencies/vendors to ensure quality control and cost efficiency.
• Deploy, train, and manage field teams (
merchandisers/PGs); establish KPIs and conduct regular field audits to ensure operational excellence.
