Key Responsibilities
Sourcing and Supplier Management
Identify, evaluate and assess suppliers for plastics and tooling components.
Establish and maintain strong supplier & MPa relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and our Mpa.
Quality Assurance
Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that materials and tooling meet requirement specifications and company standards.
Address and resolve all quality issues with suppliers and Mpa with effective corrective actions.
Cost & Program Management
Be a site lead to ensure tool transfer to production requirements are executed and ensure no lapse in procurement practices.
Collaborate with suppliers and Mpa to ensure timely delivery of tooling, qualification and production timelines.
Monitor and report on potential cost improvements and budget adherence.
Identify gaps in manufacturing process and report potential cost savings.
Knowledge to market trends and pricing to identify cost savings opportunities.
Process Improvement
Continuously evaluate and improve current procurement practices on-site.
Implement best practices in manufacturing environment, improvement in HP's processes and conduct regular audit.
Cross-functional collaboration
Work closely with internal teams to understand material and design requirements for production.
Provide technical support and guidance on-site to ensure compliance with company's manufacturing process and requirements.
Experiences
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years experiences in the plastics tooling and molding industry.
Hands-on experiences in using 2D and 3D CAD applications like Creo, ProE or SolidWorks.
Knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and statistical quality processes.
Excellent analytical & supplier management skills.
Able to station in Vietnam Hanoi for 12 months
Able to travel locally to supplier & manufacturing sites
