Role Description This full-time remote role is for a Vietnamese Interpreter who will facilitate clear communication between English-speaking and Vietnamese-speaking individuals in real time. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting phone and virtual conversations, maintaining accuracy and neutrality, and conveying tone and intent faithfully. The interpreter will follow client-specific protocols, document session details when required, and protect confidentiality and data privacy at all times.
The role also involves preparing for assignments by reviewing relevant terminology, collaborating with team members and supervisors as needed, and participating in training to maintain and improve language quality. The interpreter is expected to manage schedules effectively, respond promptly to assignment requests, and deliver a professional, customer-focused experience in every interaction.
Qualifications
Strong command of Vietnamese and English, with excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension skills.
Demonstrated experience in interpretation or translation, preferably in customer service, business, or BPO environments is a plus.
Ability to interpret consecutively and accurately, maintaining neutrality and conveying meaning, tone, and intent.
Familiarity with common professional vocabulary and terminology; willingness to learn sector-specific terms (e.g., business, customer support, healthcare, finance).
Solid customer service skills, including professionalism, empathy, patience, and clear communication in virtual settings.
Comfort working with remote tools and technology, including call center platforms, video conferencing tools, and basic office software.
Strong time management, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a structured full-time remote schedule.
Commitment to confidentiality, data protection, and adherence to company and client policies.
Previous remote work or BPO experience is an advantage.
High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree or formal training in languages, linguistics, or interpretation is a plus.
