Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the environment? We are seeking a dedicated Waste/Environmental Specialist to join LEGO® Manufacturing Vietnam, where you will have the opportunity to develop and implement innovative waste management strategies!

* This role will be working temporarily at the LEGO temporary office in District 1, HCMC (shuttle bus is provided from Bien Hoa & Binh Duong to the office) with frequent travel to the factory site; and will be relocated to Binh Duong in 2024.

Core Responsibilities

Responsible for compliance with the principles of environmental protection across the whole factory.
Ensure the implementation of the Energy Management System (GBT 23331-2012) initiating, obtaining certification, and managing it.
Daily operational environmental and waste management tasks to meet internal and external requirements.
Drive actions to meet the yearly critical metric targets for waste reduction that the group assigned, including waste recycling rate, waste reduction, and waste efficiency.
Manage waste treatment for thewhole factory, including process set-up, waste mapping, waste sorting behavior training, regular checks, data reporting to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and global function, etc.
Support ISO audits, Code of Conduct audits and other related audits.
Evaluates the risks of business interruption.
Draw management's attention to the violations of environmental laws and regulations.
Plans and organizes environmental sampling according to legal rules and plans.
Prepares the budget basis in the frame of depending area.
Ensures cross-functional collaboration to increase efficiency and compliance.

Facility Management are in charge of ensuring that the LMV factory properly maintained and operating efficiently in order to enhance manufacturing productivity and provide our LMV employees with an amazing and safe experience in the workplace every day.

Waste/Environment Specialist plays a very critical role in the facility team to ensure all waste, wastewater, and other environmental matters are handled well and in highest level of compliance with the company standards and local regulations supporting the Zero Impact Operations and Carbon Neutral Operations ambitions.

Do you have what it takes?

Bachelor in Environment Management / EHS or having rich, in-depth experience in Waste and Environment Management
Go do mentality and curiosity to learn
Responsive and willing to take ownership of issues and drive solutions
Lean and continuous improvement
5+ years of experience in a multinational working environment
Working experience with external and internal partners
Familiar with ISO 14001 or 50001 or relevant standards
Presentation and facilitation skills for training and engagement activities
Experience setting up a new waste and environment program
Familiar with the Zero Waste to Landfill program and LEED-related matters
Proficient in both Vietnamese and English

Ngoài ra, Lego cũng đang chuẩn bị lao động, nhân sự để vận hành nhà máy và dự kiến sẽ có khoảng 100 người được tuyển dụng trong những tháng cuối năm 2023 và tăng lên 500 người trong năm 2024 để đảm bảo đi vào sản xuất trong nửa cuối năm 2024.

Số lao động được tuyển dụng để vận hành nhà máy dự kiến nâng lên tới 4.000 người, tạo ra việc làm và nguồn thu đáng kể cho ngân sách.
