As we are growing in the country, we are now seeking an Agriculture Specialist for The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Principles and Criteria (P&C) to join our team in Indonesia on a permanent contract.

What you will do

As an Agriculture Specialist for RSPO P&C, your main tasks are to complete the accreditation process of Preferred by Nature RSPO P&C audit service, conduct RSPO P&C audits while maintaining and developing necessary systems for RSPO P&C audit service. Other duties will include:

Maintain your qualification as RSPO P&C lead auditor as well as participate in RSPO-related events to build our network in RSPO, palm oil industries and other actors related to palm oil sectors.
Pursue and maintain your qualification as task manager of Preferred by Nature's agriculture-related certification and verification including but not limited to Rainforest Alliance, Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP), GlobalG.A.P., Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), The Union for Ethical BioTrade (UEBT), CAFÉ Practices, Sustainability Framework and RSPO.
Task managing in accordance with your competence, including providing general support; audit budgeting, planning, and scheduling; and maintaining certification or verification database of appointed clients of Preferred by Nature's agriculture-related certification and verification in Southeast Asia.
Work with the Preferred by Nature Southeast Asia team to provide customer service to current and potential clients of Preferred by Nature's agriculture-related certification and verification programmes.
Work with the Market and Development team to provide support for marketing activities and new services development in Southeast Asia.
Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, special projects and stakeholder relations in Southeast Asia.

Who you are

Have a university degree in agriculture or forestry related subjects.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the palm oil related industries, including as auditor or consultant in this field.
Qualified as RSPO P&C lead auditor and have involved in at least 5 RSPO P&C audits.
Fluent in both written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Proficient with word and spreadsheet related software.
Comfortable travelling nationwide (and internationally) as part of your job role.
Have a high level of integrity and business ethics to strike a balance between serving clients and at the same time not compromising your role as an auditor.
Comfortable making independent decisions, as the nature of the job requires you to work independently, often remotely from your colleagues.

Additional information:

The position is based in Indonesia with the possibility to work remotely from home or from our office in Bogor and Denpasar.
The position holder reports to our Asia Regional Manager for Agriculture Division, based in Indonesia.
Expected starting date: as soon as possible
