Application Operations Specialist

Job Purpose:

Join our dynamic team as an Application Support Executive, where you will play a vital role in ensuring our company's applications run smoothly. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, user support, and collaborating with vendors to enhance our IT applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Operations:

• Operate and ensure the company applications function stably and continuously.
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues related to applications and databases (MS SQL, DB2, Informix).
• Communicate with application vendors to resolve issues.
• Work with other departments to make sure the applications meet business needs.
• Participate in the analysis and development of information technology projects.
• Lead the deployment and training in the use of new software systems, including compiling documentation.
• Deploy and operate new systems as requested.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform other tasks/duties assigned by the Head of IT.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a Securities or Finance Company.

Technical Skills:

• Familiar with application technologies (Web, API, Database) and operating systems (Windows/Linux)
• Ability to write Bash scripts; familiarity with DevOps practices is preferred.

Knowledge & Competencies:

• Experience in operating financial/securities applications is a plus.
• Good communication skills; able to work independently or in a team.
• Passionate about researching new technologies.
• Diligent and detail-oriented.
